As of Thursday morning Joseph weighed ten pounds two and a half ounces. To make things even better he also sleeps through the night. I had no idea how much I enjoyed sleeping at night until I started getting up one or two times at night. The bad thing about getting up in the middle of the night is that I'm pretty groggy. For example, Joseph had been home for about a week when I had a terrible experience getting up. Joseph let out his little bird chirps and little cries to tell me that his tank was on "E". I was definitely not used to getting up at that point, so I was especially groggy. I made my way from my bedroom door to Joseph's. Keep in mind that this is a distance of about twelve inches from door frame to door frame. Based on my especially talented ability, I rounded from one door opening to the next and managed to run into Joseph's door frame. The jolt of bouncing into the door was so startling that I jumped and then bashed my right elbow into the opposite door frame. At this point I was especially annoyed and growled to Shane that he should get up and help me. He sat up in bed, opened his eyes, and then crased back onto the bed and was sound asleep. I finally made my way to Joseph and spent the next little while feeding the little guy. Smashing into the door frame was definitely the low point of getting up at night.
